Brad Dawson was working as a janitor while attending the University of Texas at San Antonio.  In 1983, a relative that owned an office building gave Brad the opportunity to be a self-employed janitor and continue school.

How We Operate

  • Manage and direct all aspects of commercial janitorial operations for clients of bcd Janitorial
  • Negotiate rates, service agreements, and schedule interviews and background checks to hire your personal staff
  • Train and develop housekeeping staff to use proper techniques and equipment
  • Evaluate and verify performance of duties
  • Conduct inspections, respond to client requests and concerns
  • Schedule work assignments, daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual according to the service agreement
  • Correspond with building managers and owners

Firm History

Brad Dawson was working as a janitor in the evenings while attending the University of Texas at San Antonio.  In the spring of 1983, a relative who owned his own office building gave Brad the opportunity to be a self-employed janitor and continue to go to school. Brad graduated from UTSA in 1986 and was hired by NEISD as a teacher in August 1987. He continued to work as a self-employed janitor. Brad married Cindy Beyer in June of 1987. Cindy took over the operations of BCD Janitorial as the company grew.

There have been many changes and challenges over the past 40 years. Commercial cleaning procedures and products have become more environmentally friendly. Heavy-duty floor machines and water extraction equipment are more efficient and effective. Cindy has incorporated the latest technology and is in constant contact with her clients and employees. Our goal is simply this, when our clients arrive each morning their office building is clean, well stocked with paper goods, and prepared as a showcase for the products and services they provide.  Our business is built on relationships.
